There will be many opportunities to show off your beautiful dolls and win valuable prizes!

STL BJD CON 2013 Contests

In keeping with the convention’s theme of Couture this year’s contest will focus on the dolls and their outfits. How well the outfit fits and suits the doll will be very important this year.

You may enter your favorite dolls in the following five categories:

• Large (1/3 scale / 60 – 90 cm / 24 – 36 inch) and up

• Medium (1/4 scale / 30 – 50 cm / 12 – 20 in)
• Small (10 – 30 cm / 4 – 11 in)
• Tiny (up to 10 cm / 4 in)
• Anthropormorphic (any size)
• Non-Resin (any size)

Each category will have an award for:

• Prêt-à-Porter (Ready-to-Wear; purchased outfits) and
• Haute Couture (made to measure; handmade) from our special judges.
• There will also a “Popular Favorite” by vote of the convention attendees.
• A special award for Best of Show will be a free membership to our next convention (this will not include the convention doll)

Dolls must be in place in the competition area by noon to allow time for judging.

Due to space limitations, please note the following rules and guidelines:

• Attendees will be limited to at most three entries over all categories.
• Each entry may consist of no more than two dolls (eg. a pair of sisters).
• Also note that we will not have space to display dioramas (a chair or stand that takes up no more space than the doll is not considered to be a diorama)
