We're doing it again!

To raise funds for the convention (and because we like tea!), we're hosting the Monster's Tea Party on Saturday, October 17th. Tickets are $10.

Also, if you happen to be at Archon this weekend, we have a table in the Art Show to show off some of the work done by Dolly Playmate artists, and to promote the convention - Sarah Seiter, the Mushroom Peddlar and one of our Guests of Honor last year, and Jen Patton, one of our committee members, also have art in the Art Show. We'll even have a BJD Fashion show on Friday at 7:30!

A first-year convention always has surprises, and ours is no exception. Fortunately most of our surprises have been pleasant ones so far! We have a new surprise to share with regard to our Convention Doll, Spark. Sarah Seiter has reported some delays with the casting of the dolls. The casting company is going to work hard to get as many dolls ready as they can, but we wanted to let everyone know that it is possible that your doll won't be available in time for the convention. We are working on a solution to this delay which we will announce at the convention. Sarah has offered her sincere apologies, and we're looking forward to hearing the particulars of this story at the convention. I'm sure it will make a great narrative! What we're currently working with is the idea that we may have a Doll-Pick-Up mini-meet up when the rest of the dolls are finished and distribute them then.

*GASP!* That means... you could order one in each color! You could order a pair of twins in a single color!

If you are registered for the convention and haven't pre-ordered even a single doll yet, we want to remind you that the pre-order deadline is October 31st, so you might want to make sure you have ordered your preferred color before Halloween.

Our convention doll is absolutely adorable! It is a convention exclusive, but if you want to get one of these precious dolls, you can always buy a supporting membership (even if you cannot attend) and therefore have the opportunity to acquire one of these amazing dolls.

Sarah Seiter has arranged for a very limited number of Spark the Wyvren dolls in colored resin! The colors available are blue (pictured here), green, or purple. A white option is also available for those who can't decide, or want to blush the little guy a different color.

This is our last weekend for our special Kickstarter pre-registration! As a reminder, this is the best way to register for the convention, because it guarantees you a spot at the convention. This is also the best way to get the official convention doll, as the Mushroom Peddler needs to send out her pre-orders in September!

We had considered making a theme for the convention, but didn't want to restrict anyone in how they wanted to play.

However, we really do like dragons. And our convention doll will be a dragon. And it is the year of the dragon, and thought we should have some sort of decorating theme for the banquet, which is planned to be the major event of the convention. Therefore, we will be decorating the Banquet in a dragon theme.

If you would like to play with the dragon theme for the convention, great! If it's not your thing, you're happily welcome to theme or not theme however you like!
